掌握这个软件的难点在哪儿呢？

The difficulty is because most commercial statistics programs are "point and click". So most users they do not need to know commands in order to do a statistical analysis. But the user of R has anything you want to do in statistics. Especially an R user is an experienced user not only knowing the R language but especially knowing statistics so most times anyone can find a valuable help if he wants.

也就是说R对于使用者来说不是一个黑箱，而是可以由使用者进行调整的？它使用起来更像excel吧？（当然它的功能肯定比excel强大很多）

Yes it is more adjustable and certainly more powerful than.excel. Excel is not a statistical software.
