TRA is a widely studied model from social psychology which is concerned with the determinants of consciously intended behaviors (Ajzen and Fishbein 1980; Fishbein and Ajzen 1975).
TAM, introduced by Davis (1986), is an adaptation of TRA specifically tailored for modeling user acceptance of information systems. The goal of TAM is to provide an explanation of the determinants of computer acceptance that is general, capable of explaining user behavior across a broad range of end-user computing technologies and user populations, while at the same time being both parsimonious and theoretically justified.
