    周林,(Lin Zhou),男,1959年出生。现任美国亚利桑那州立大学商学院凯瑞教授、上海交通大学安泰经济与管理学院院长、2006年教育部长江学者讲座教授。周林教授1982年于复旦大学任教,1989年获得美国普林斯顿大学经济学博士学位。周林教授早期研究选举制度和资源配置机制。将经典的Gibbard-Satterthwaith定理推广到具有公共物品的经济环境中去,解决了一个近二十年没有解决的占优策略机制结构的问题,为后继学者对经济环境中占优策略机制的研究提供了理论基础。九十年代提出了在合作博弈中一个新的解的概念,在后来文献冠名为“周氏议价集”。阐明了完全竞争经济中议价集并不一定收敛到完全竞争均衡,是对微观经济学中核收敛定理的重要补充。近年来,周林教授和其他两位学者首创的关于博弈论的可验证的结论问题。在各种不同的有限观察的环境中找出博弈论理论的一些可验证的结论。此外,为专业分工理论学派奠定严格的理论基础,与杨小凯合作证明了在一个有递增回报的完全竞争经济模型中一般均衡的存在性及福利经济学基本定理。研究成果发表于国际期刊Games and Economic Behavior, Journal of Economic Theory,Economic Theory,Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization等。

    当年,由邹至庄先生主持、联系,福特基金会在中国人民大学和复旦大学办了三届“福特班”。另,福特基金会还每年资助60名学生去美国留学,命名为“邹至庄经济学留学计划”,在全国重点高校中选拔佼佼者。如今已成为世界著名经济学家的周林便是当年第一届的第一名。
