At the same time, the gap of income between urban and rural residents is being further expanded. This trend is bound to expand on the consequences of China's economic development and social stability. From the perspective of public policy analysis, the major reason of the gap of income between urban and rural residents is the policy differentiation between urban and rural residents. Face an ever-widening trend, we must thoroughly change this policy differentiation; achieve a balanced development of urban and rural areas. It can fundamentally eliminate the income gap between urban and rural areas, so as to bring about common prosperity. Key words: the urban and rural residents, the gap of income ,differentiated policy
