driving technique of step motor are analyzed in this Paper, and upon these sta- tements, a mathematical model of VR step motor is built. With this model , the coil current of step motor with chopping driver and the nonleaded starting frequency are simulated for the base of designing of designing of step motor servo system. A step motor chopping driver , including controller, circular distributor, power amplifier, signal separator and circuit breaker is developed .especially the designing of the circular distrib- utor, the adopting of the new logical device GAL, which have many advantages of high flexibi- lity and reliability. It is shown in experiment that it has a high rise speed of coil current and a good current waveform. Overall test shows that the driver has a high performance . A micro ¨Cstepping driver for VR step motor is designed. In power drive circuit , a kind of power transistor VMOS is adopted .In designing of the Micro-step circular distributor, two piece of GAL and EPROM are used .All the changes made the overall circuit has a higher running performance, fast switching time ,small power dissipation and volume. Keywords: Stepper Motor £» Circular distributor Constant current chopping drive£» Micro-stepping driver
