摘要社会关系网络对于收入差距的贡献度有多大？在市场化程度和经济发展水平不同的地区，关系对收入差距的贡献度有怎样的不同？本文通过对中国农村家庭收入的决定以及农户间收入差距的分解发现，社会网络对收入差距的贡献达到12.1%-13.4%，在各种收入决定因素中，仅次于村庄哑变量、非农就业比重和教育，位居第四。在市场化程度和经济发展水平较高的东部地区，社会网络对收入的提高作用，以及社会网络对于收入差距的贡献度都明显高于中西部。

The Contribution of Guanxi to Income Inequality in Rural China and a Cross-Regional Comparison: a Regression-Based Decomposition

Abstract: Our paper aims at examining the impact of social network, as the foremost category of social capital, on income and income inequality of rural households. Moreover, we intend to understand how this influence varies across areas with different levels of marketization and economic development. By employing household survey data in rural China, our empirical results demonstrate that social network contributes 12.1%-13.4% to the income inequality among households in rural China, ranking the fourth after village dummies, non-farm employment and education. In the eastern China where marketization and development level is higher than that in the middle and western China, social network has a higher impact on income and a greater contribution to income inequality.
