It is the only UK HEFCE-funded Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning that specialises in postgraduate statistics, and rewards the research and teaching excellence of the 6* RAE rated Statistics Group.Our MSc in Statistics is available for those with a Maths & Stats background and the MSc/MRes in Applied Social Statistics for those who are numerate but may not have studied Maths and Stats as an undergraduate. Our popular MSc courses and short course programme provide excellent training for those wishing to continue into our PhD programme. This training is further enhanced by our involvement in several National Training Programmes also available to our students. We hold specialist Master Classes in statistics, with visiting experts in the field, and have a regular Seminar Programme that focuses on innovative teaching projects on as well as new related technologies.
