2011 Internship Programmes
Roles & Responsibilities

The best way to gain an insight into for the firm and the type of work we do is to come to work with us for a fortnight in our Hong Kong office on one of our internship programmes. Attendance is not a pre-requisite to being a Withers trainee. However, it is a great introduction to life as a trainee at our firm.

In our Hong Kong office we offer three two-week internship programmes which run during the Summer (June and July). On the programme, you will have the opportunity to complete real work in two different departments. (Family and Wealth Planning) Working alongside a senior solicitor or a partner you will be very much involved in their current caseload. Successful candidates will be invited for a second round training contract interview.

Requirements

Applicants will be expected to obtain an upper second class degree or higher and a minimum of 2 As and 1 B at A-Level or equivalent.

We welcome applications from all degree disciplines and from applicants at all stages of their career. It is recommended that law students apply in their penultimate year and existing degree holders can apply at any time.

We are looking to recruit individuals who have a demonstrable flair and aptitude for developing long term client relationships and who can work effectively with support teams on an equal footing to achieve real business success. Fluency in English is most important. Cantonese and Mandarin skills are also strongly desirable.
