Nowadays, it is popular to use the Balanced Scorecard to evaluate an enterprise's performance. I think similar idea can be used in evaluating students' performance.
The Balanced Scorecard mainly deals with "financial outputs", "customer", "internal business process" and "learning and growth". As for students, it may be changed to "innovation", "public relationship", "personal objective achievement" and "full development in learning and growth".
And the four steps can also be transplanted into the students' BSC valuation:
1、Translating the vision into operational goals;
2、Communicating the vision and link it to individual performance;
3、Detail planning; index setting;
4、Feedback and learning, and adjust the strategy accordingly.
We often mention career planning nowadays, and if career objective is set as a strategy for individual, maybe he or she will develop fast on the road of perspective cultivation based on different BSCs. However, such a development road may be boring and lack of adventures.
Just a provocative thinking. Hehe.
