It seems that Germany has no obligation to help other countries, because it thrives almost totally on hardwork and the spirit of enterprise, which should also be learned by other countries, especially those who are asking for help.
But from the other viewpoint, Germany is one of the few countries in the Euro area which keep steady growth and seemingly not much interrupted by recessions. With those brother-and-sister countries, how can it sit back and look unconcerned?
Germans are often regarded as serious and hardworking. Germany owns well-developed mechanical industries. Although it is not a huge geographical country, many ideologies come from there. Hitler launched the second world war. Marx and Engels brought about communist ideas. And now, Merkel works as one of the few women politicians in the world as Germany's prime minister. It's a country with legend.
