Master of Accounting
CPA Accredited logoSprott’s Master of Accounting (MAcc) is a rigorous program that provides a gateway to a career as a professional accountant. Students graduating from the MAcc will be exempt from the CPA Canada Professional Education Program (PEP) and will proceed directly to the CPA Canada Common Final Examination, which is one of the final steps in becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant.
The Sprott MAcc goes beyond the CPA professional requirements by providing students with all four competencies in the accounting field: assurance, tax, finance and performance management. This breadth of knowledge prepares graduates to work in a variety of professional roles.
The Sprott MAcc capitalizes on the experience of accounting faculty within the Sprott School of Business who are experts on the competencies required by the accounting professional.
◾Full-Time Program Structure
The full-time stream is delivered over 16 months, including two summers of full-time study and a fall internship.
◾Part-Time Program Structure
Part-time students with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience can complete the MAcc in two years.
