Actually the boxes are not the most tough part in the Game theory.
Now I am taking the course, and our prof always stressed that math is not the most important, instead we need intuition.
For example, in auction ,bargin, we don't need many math, but we need the hint, or the idea to fix the problems.
Game theory is really closed to the Micro. It's very tough I think. I always complain why Nash was mad, yes he will, since game theory is damn so hard. The boxes are not the most important in our study. Given the payoff and boxes, everyone can figure out the solution. The most difficult part is no boxes, just intuition, then simple calculations. But how can I get the intuition?????
I don't think the most famous economists are from the math, or I think econometrics is very important, but math is just a tool.
