20120224 FollowMe 288 Income inequality ： Who exactly are the 1%?

That's why people are always complaining. Once a group dominates, it does not want to give away. I think only laws, regulations and the whole social system can help solve, but these are made by the rich.

It's has been a world problem for long time, the one who can solve it absolutely deserves the Nobel Prize.

The conclusions are somewhat out of expectation. They change my view of the 1%. It's an enlightening article, thanks.

       In 2011, America’s Gini coefficient is beyond 0.4, an internationally recognized alarming figure. However, China’s Gini coefficient is higher. In English-speaking countries, social and political may play a role. And in China, the results is in response in the growth of bureaucracies. As in
America, the membership in China’s 1% is also relatively stable.
      The Occupy Wall Street movement gives some trouble to the American government. And it also gives us a warning that we may get into trouble if the income gap becomes widen.

Wealth accumulates in the few's hands, as what is described in this article, 1%. The disequilibrium should be balanced in some other aspects, otherwise the scale may turn upside down.

For example, in acient China,  in most common people's eyes, the emperors enjoyed extravagance and pleasure, need not worry about basic necessities of their own lives. But they had to worry about basic necessities of their constituents, or they would face the risk of being overthrown. The wooden stool they sat on was majestic, but it was so hard that to sit on with straightened back the whole day need special training, which was not all ordinary people could sustain.

For the 1%, they own absolutely high proportion of wealth among people, which makes them outstanding. Affectionate actions may need to balance the situation, no matter from the perspective of holding the belief to be involved in charities or pursuing some political powers.
