The balance between the long-term and short-term goal  is hard to come to a conclusion.
Maybe the conservatives have also made decisions with deliberateness, The U.S. have done better , for at least, there exists two parts who concentrate on the long-term and the short-term welfare respectly. However, just like in China, while we common citizens always complain that our government, especially the local government have never concern about people's short-term benefits, such as the increasing price of the tour tickets, it seems that they do not get better achievements in long-term objections as well. Hoping our country will improve and  learn from such experience happended in the developed of U.S.

the question is : in your mind , the uncle sam is now in the diffuculty time , so the initial thought of hamilton should put into effect,  to invest more for the future, not the current walfare and employment. but do you think it is possilbe in reality?

i think this titlle mislead us.from it's title it seems to tell us somthing of uncle sam's foreign affirs,but actually it try to share with us the term economic nationalism.
