欧文.费雪（IrvingFisher,1867—1947），货币主义和计量经济学的创始人，著名的交易方程式（MV=PQ）的阐释者。詹姆斯.托宾说他是美国有史以来最伟大的经济学家，萨缪尔森说他的博士论文《价值与价格理论的数理研究》是经济学界前所未有的最伟大的博士论文。[1]当代最杰出的经济思想史学家马克.布劳格称费雪为“美国有史以来最伟大的当然也是最具有传奇色彩的经济学家之一。”
