Assistant or Associate Professor
OPEN POSITION at SKEMA BUSINESS SCHOOL
SKEMA Business School is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor in International Business to begin on September 1, 2013. Applicants must demonstrate a first experience in both teaching and research. An experience in China (academic and/or business) is also required.
Main responsibilities of the appointee :
- Teach courses at Master level in International Business, International Marketing and/or Luxury Management.
- Have an interest and ability to teach in continuous learning programs for managers and executives
- Control and supervise MSc students and students’groupwork.
- Make significant intellectual contributions and publications, especially in peer-reviewed journals.
Duties will be based in Suzhou, China.
Requirements :
- Hold a doctorate or PhD in International Business, or in International Marketing, with a focus on China.
- Have a deep knowledge of the business context in China.
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver excellent and innovative teaching at different levels
- Have an interest and ability to teach in continuous learning programs for managers and executives
- Be able to manage multicultural groups of students.
- Be able to teach in English
- Knowledge of Chinese language is required whereas knowledge of French is not strictly required
- Be able to work in an international and multicultural team.
- Have published articles in peer reviewed journals, or demonstrate a potential to publish in international reviews by the high-quality work in progress.

- More than 450 students (French and international)
- 3 MSc Programs : International Business (doing business in China), Luxury and Fashion Management, Entreneurship and Innovation in a Sustainable World.
- An international team (11 persons) dedicated to academic services and support services
- 8 classrooms designed for interactive language learning with a small number of students; lecture theatres for 100, 200 and 300 students as well as other large rooms on the second floor, a theatre and a cafeteria.
