小妹投了一个弱弱的SCI，很快编辑就回复了，内容如下：You have submitted a manuscript to *******on a subject I have more than normal interest in*****
However, at the same time you also bring me in a very delicate and to me unwanted situation because you missed an extremely important paper (for you and seen the subject) which was published in****** by myself, Pinto and Turner.
Although this is not the way I prefer to handle things (it is now already quite personal) I feel very pressed to ask you if you agree with me that the paper which is now attached should be cited and even discussed because it really touches the core of your own interest. Even in case that you consider the attached paper as a ‘worthless contribution to science’, even then I ask you to comment on it because that is the way science works (in my opinion).
My personal impression, and acknowledged that I am certainly NOT a modeller, is that you took at least part of a next step in the necessary process. Thus, in my perception you are further building on the ideas we published in the most recent paper.
小妹初涉SCI，这种事情常见么？应该怎么处理，他的文章和我差别还是挺大的。
