这个……受到所学专业限制,很难了解国外的全面情况,先看看外媒的预测吧,转个路透的预测: Thomson Reuters predicts the 2013 Nobel Laureate in economics
“Joshua D. Angrist, David E. Card, Alan B. Krueger, Sir David F. Hendry, M. Hashem Pesaran, Peter C.B. Phillips, Sam Peltzman, and Richard A. Posner, all very good possible picks in my view.”
查了查这几个人:
Joshua D. Angrist:
Angrist has also made contributions in theoretical econometrics. He co-founded and serves as a director of the School Effectiveness & Inequality Initiative based within the MIT Department of Economics. The center's work focuses on the economics of education, issues surrounding domestic poverty, and the connections between human capital and the American income distribution.
David Card:
David Card has also made fundamental contributions to research on immigration,[3]education,[4] job training and inequality. Much of Card's work centers on a comparison between the United States and Canada in various situations. On immigration, Card's research has shown that the economic impact of new immigrants is minimal. Card has done several case studies on the rapid assimilation of immigrant groups, finding that they have little or no impact on wages. In an interview with the New York Times, Card said, "I honestly think the economic arguments [against immigration] are second order. They are almost irrelevant." [5] This does not imply, however, that Card believes immigration should be increased, merely that immigrants do not pose a threat to the labour market. Alan Bennett Krueger: (born September 17, 1960) is an Americaneconomist, Bendheim Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton University and Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. On March 7, 2009, he was nominated by President Barack Obama to be United States Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for economic policy. In October 2010, he announced his resignation from the Treasury Department, to return to Princeton University. He is among the 50 highest ranked economists in the world according to IDEAS/RePEc. On August 29, 2011, he was nominated by Obama to be chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, and on November 3, 2011, the Senate unanimously confirmed his nomination.
Sir David F. Hendry
His work is predominantly on time series econometrics and the econometrics of the demand for money. In recent years he has worked on the theory of forecasting and also on automated model building.
