First, don't put too much weight on mathematics within modeling area.
It is an misunderstanding, classical assumption.

I knew a lot of Indian modelers, professional.
Their are not good at math, but they could build excellent models.

I believe the first step for you is to,
understand the concept of model.
Use your rational to recite the reasoning process step by step.

To some degree, math is kind of concise language.
Do the simulation again and again,
little by little,
you will get there.
