Hello buddy,
how are you?
Basically speaking, unpaid internship is unethical.
There is strict restrict on the practice.
Normally speaking, any decent employer won't do it.
The reason is simple and obvious: employer must pay employee's time.
However, in the real world,
a lot job hunters, especially those just graduated from school will do it, because they need something beautiful on their resume, so that they could land a job later.
It is a compromise.
Every part should weight the price and benefit.
Although there are a lot of magic stories about real world.
Generally speaking, there is no material difference.
Trust your intuition,
don't believe in shortcut,
use your brain.
You'd better get away as soon as possible if you find out that there is a integrity problem within the entity.
Good luck my friends.
I wish I could help you.
