Paul Krugman has many biased opinions about the policy issues. Look around the consequences of three QEs implemented by the Fed after their financial crises. Quote a famous Chinese saying, "Don't build your happiness on others' sorrow".  Not too many countries owns a currency that is accepted globally. Borrowing by printing your own money... Think about it.
