here is my thoughts:

If you are really confident about your capability,
there are plenty of opportunities to make money.

As far as I know a lot of parents want their kids to be artistic.
You may network with your potential clients as early as possible.
Your professors, your classmates, and your friends may provide possible information.

You may go to parks earlier,
another place to meet your potential clients.

You may visit high-end community and distribute your cards.
You may also surf local network website and post your skill set.

Here is the key,
let as many as possible people know what you can do and why you are better than others.

Another reminder,
take care of yourself, security is NO.1 issue.
keep balance with your principle duty - learning.
