I believe there is following tendency in international market nowadays,

Firstly, globalization.
Each nation focuses its energy on one specialty, thus the total product or service decreases.

Secondly, shorter life cycle.
Intensively invested R&D watching competition cycle becomes shorter and shorter.
To stay on the market, entity or nation has to continuously invest in market research, cost management and value chain management. and should be faster and faster

Last but not least, IT oriented
Global transaction is more and more relying on IT infrastructure, generating order, online payment, AIS and EIS etc. On the one hand, providing more detailed data for research, on the other hand, the privacy issue is looming larger and larger. Decades later, your grandson may write a paper on your surf behavior or your favorite website etc.

In summary, we are living in the best age ever, meanwhile, we are living at the worst time ever.

How about the international trade benefit distribution between developed country and developing country?
