In the data analysis section, the description of the statistical and analytical methods is insufficient. The authors mention that independent sample t-test was used. This statement alone is misleading. Why did the authors use independent sample t test if they compared ruptured and unruptured aneurysms in the same patients harboring multiple intracranial aneurysms as they indicate in the paper? The general assumption is that the independent sample t-test is used to compare two independent groups. It is not readily apparent to the reader that independent t-test can be use to compare a group mean to a particular number. Presumably this is the case here. Thus, if the authors used the independent t-test to compare the AUC of the ROC curve to the diagonal ROC line with AUC of 0.5 (the method that cannot discriminate ruptured and unruptured), the authors should clearly describe this and clarify this unique situation to the readers. In relation with this, the authors should clearly explain what the p values in the tables mean.
