洛克菲勒公司(Rockefeller & Co.)成立于1882年，创始人为约翰·D·洛克菲勒(John D. Rockefeller)，最初是约翰·D·洛克菲勒为管理家族资产而设立的“家族理财室”(family office)，1979年成为有限公司，于1980年发展成为在美国证券交易委员会(SEC)注册的投资顾问公司。为了扩大业务，洛克菲勒公司分别在纽约（1985）和特拉华州（1997）成立了信托公司。
