如果想判断一个公司是否是上市公司，或者是否是上市公司的子公司，有什么好方法吗？

Normally speaking, public issuer will make the information available to the public itself.
You could get all the information from its audited annaul reports.

However, if the issuer really want to hide the relevant information, it will take whatever step it has to take to cover the information.

The database you mentioned should exist, however the cost of getting it quickly may be high.
