In China, the statistics is not popular like in other countries.

there are two reasons, first, you can not deal with the data better to get the important information, because you know what the teachers teaches you,but the methods will be not useful to process the data which you get from your company!

second, the company need one people to deal with the data, so that the demand is not sufficient for so many statistics student.

知足吧，比统计难就业的专业多了去了。我们往往把自己看得太高

我个人觉得在不久的将来，统计的地位肯定会提高很多的，关键是现在很少有人认识到统计的威力。

These two points above can be applied to any other areas, say finance.

For stats, I think it is how you use the methods. Numbers are all the same; it is what you can see from the numbers.
