“民工荒”，活力劳动力不足的必然现象

While it may be seen as a "problem" by many, it should be a blessing to those labourers. That reflects the positive externalities of economic development that should be welcome.
The question is not just about costs to firms, but also in terms of human capital improvement.
When human capital improves, it is not necessarily an increase in costs of production.
There is not much future in terms of pure labourer without human capitals. If one looks at technical progress and leaves aside the spill over effect (positive externalities), one will find that technical progress is closely related to the improvement in human capital as inputs to production.
So, let's embrace whole heartedly the shortage of pure and simple labourers and enhance their human capital content.
We don’t need to look at this issue negatively. Nevertheless, everyone needs to recognise the trend in labour supply and the need to enhance human capitals.

我还不认为中国现在进入了民工荒。表面上的民工荒完全是由于企业自身造成的，当经济不景气的时候就一个劲的裁人，当经济复苏的时候又找不到人，再者就是民工兄弟的待遇实在不敢恭维呀！
