BusinessAnalytics & Data Science

Founded in 1870, Missouri University ofScience Technology has evolved into a world-class technological researchuniversity, producing some of the top STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering,and Math) graduates in the world.

We are now offering the opportunity forstudents to earn a Graduate Certificate in the field of Big Data as part of aMaster's degree in Information Science Technology. The master degree requires30 credit hours, or 10 courses.

Big Data is an emerging phenomenon.Computing systems today are generating 15 petabytes of new information everydayand about 80% of the data generated every day is textual and unstructured data.Data analytics facilitates realization of objectives by identifying trends,creating predictive models for forecasting and optimizing business processesfor enhanced performance.

For this program, students will take fourMS-IST core courses, and can apply four of their six elective courses to earn aGraduate Certificate in Business Analytics Data Science.
