I think economics is a tool. Whether it is used for "acadmasturbation" or for good policy-making is up to the user.

A tool indeed, but not a magic wand. Whether it is a good tool for policy-making is not entirely up to the user, the tool per se may be defected for that purpose.

Of course it's not a magic wand, nothing is. Even if a tool is defected, a good user can still produce good results. We work with defected tools all the time. There is no such thing as a perfect tool when it comes to dealing with $ of many people.

我刚开始学经济的时候就带着批判的眼光，没把他太当回事，当然不是说我学的好，也不代表我学的差。
其实，经济在很多地方都很有用，但一定要结合其他学科综合来看，你不能太相信他，否则自然会走火入魔的。
再说，中国不是有句古话：尽信书不如无书。很有道理。

经济学是要高度抽象出来的，将就逻辑推理，得出事实应当是怎么样的。不能硬套到股票市场上吧。

经济学家相信“有效市场”假说吗？未必吧。

凯恩斯貌似赚了不少吧

非理性的地方

经济学之外还有其他诸多学科渗透在股市里

相信有效市场假设是假设才是对的，只不过很多人忽略了
