Spot Rate Quotations

1.     Adirect quotation is:

        1)   The U.S. dollar equivalent.

        2)   E.g.,“a Japanese Yen is worth about a penny.”

2.     Anindirect quotation is:

        1)   The price of a U.S. dollar in the foreign currency.

        2)   E.g.,“you get 100 yen to the dollar.”
