On the basis of seasonal and trend analysis on railway transportation and investment it is shown that, even though the financial crisis reduces the turnover, it makes a great deal of contribution to the investment on railway. Then a macro-analysis on China's railway's life cycle is conducted to predict its possible life cycle curve, followed by the fuzzy recognition, where a membership function is established for obtaining its current life cycle stage.
