Traffic Models in Broadband Networks
Abstract
In this paper, ATM and four kinds of traffic models, constant bit rate (CBR) and real-time variable bit rate (VBR), none-real-time variable bit rate (nrt-VBR), available bit ra-te (ABR), unspecified bit rate (UBR), are presented. Among these models, none-real-time variable bit rate model and available bit rate model are presented specially. Matlab language is used to simulate these traffic models. We present simulation results to demonstrate characteristics of traffic model.
