Enterprise information is not simply the application of IT， it combines advanced management theories as well as IT. In this way， an enterprise converts to an organization society。 When information flows amply and knowledge is shared fully， information asymmetry and uncertainties will be reduced. On one hand， it can integrate resources inside and outside the enterprise and improve economic returns and efficiency； on the other hand， it enables the enterprise to response quickly to the changing environments， and to gain market advantages。 In this way， enterprise competence will be raised。 In this article， it also analyzes effects of enterprise information on enterprise competence economically and practically。 In the end， present conditions and effects of enterprise information in China are discussed。 KEYWORDS：Enterprise Information； Enterprise Competence； Information Asymmetry； uncertainty； Information-based ；Market Management
