分享大象联盟应邀参加<中国-肯尼亚投资与商业论坛>: loveislovedxlm 2013-8-27 11:51; 2013年8月20日，大象联盟投资部总经理黄照寰博士代表大象联盟应邀参加由国家开发银行旗下的中非发展基金与肯尼亚驻华使馆在钓鱼台国宾馆联合举办的“中国—肯尼亚:投资及商业论坛”。肯尼亚总统肯雅塔、国开行行长郑之杰出席论坛并致开幕辞。此次论坛共有中-肯政商界代表200余人出席。肯雅塔总统表示，今年是肯中建交50周年，肯中传统友谊深厚。此次论坛为进一步加强肯中在投资及经贸合作搭建了交流平台，增添了新的动力，希望肯中双方以此为契机，创新合作方式，拓展合作领域，切实深化在投资与经贸等领域的务实合作。论坛中，黄照寰博士为肯尼亚投资局的执行总经理 Dr. Moses Ikiara 博士介绍了大象联盟的商业模式和其在非洲包括马拉威、加纳及毛里求斯各国的投资和贸易合作进展，Ikiara 博士对此非常有兴趣，希望能通过投资局的推荐，让大象联盟与肯尼亚及企业能够直接对接。黄博士也和肯尼亚国会议员Hon. 分享 Deputy Prime Minister of Mauritius met with Elephant Alliance Chairman: loveislovedxlm 2013-8-16 16:07; June 25, 2013 morning, Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Finance and Economic Development Hon. Charles Gaetan Xavier-Luc DUVAL of the Republic of Mauritius met with Elephant Alliance Chairman Jin Chenglong and company in Beijing Grand Hotel to discuss the cooperation and development of the two sides in banking, finance and other areas. Also presented at the meeting were Mauritius Board of Investment Secretary Mr. Ken Poonoosamy, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development Director Mr. Patrick Y-S YIP WANG WING, Mauritius Ambassador Mr. Paul Chong Leung and others. Elephant Alliance Chairman Jin first elaborated Elephant Alliance’s purpose and plan in setting up banking and financial institutions in Mauritius and their functions, and then introduced Elephant Alliance’s cooperation and development programs in the 20 plus countries in African and their latest developments. 分享 EA and United States to discuss economic and trade cooperation: loveislovedxlm 2013-8-16 15:48; May 24, 2013 morning, Elephant Alliance (EA) CEO Ms. Chen Jingru and Technology Dept General Manager Dr. Wei Qiming met with U.S. Embassy Commercial Service Mr. Mark A. Lewis to discuss cooperation matters in economy and trade with the United States. CEO Ms. Chen introduced Elephant Alliance’s organization structure, operation model and advantages to Mr. Lewis. The relevant Elephant Alliance information and the "Elephant Alliance Cooperation and Development Plan with the United States" were presented to Mr. Lewis. This plan includes the international trade cooperation program with the States of the US and 1 to 2 States will be selected to start developing and constructing industrial parks and vocational training programs, etc. Elephants Alliance hopes that through the U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Department of Commerce to establish long-term cooperative relationship with American companies. Mr. Lewis identified with Elephant Alliance’s business model and operational strategies and said that it is their duty to approach the relevant government departments and enterprises for them to connect with Elephant Alliance. Presently the USA is also actively promoting investments in the States from other countries worldwide. Hence, the Elephant Alliance’s concept of developing in the United States is very welcomed. CEO Ms. Chen indicated that Dr. Wei will go to the United States on behalf of Elephant Alliance in early June. EA hopes to work with the U.S. Department of Commerce to have further interactions. Mr. Lewis welcomed Elephant Alliance to come the United States for a visit and he will introduce relevant domestic departments including the Ministry of Commerce and the head of the Ministry of Commerce affiliate "SELECT USA" to take charge of the reception of Elephant Alliance in the United States for further discussions. In another development, May 23, 2013 afternoon, CEO Ms. Chen Jingru and Technology Dept General Manager Dr. Wei Qiming visited Ms. Ma Ling of the China Office of the Iowa Economic Development Board and exchanged ideas for economic and trade cooperation between Elephants Alliance and Iowa. Consensus in cooperation was reached in many areas including Iowa's agriculture, value added processing and other industries. 分享 Malawi Ministers Held Cooperation Working Meeting with Elephant Alliance Delegat: loveislovedxlm 2013-8-16 15:38; June 4, 2013, the President of the Republic of Malawi Mrs. Banda organized a working meeting for Her Excellency’s Special Assistant and various Malawi Ministers to discuss with Elephants Alliance Delegates to identify specific details of the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two parties and the signing time. The meeting was chaired by the Special Assistant to the President of Malawi. Attendances included the Malawi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Industry/Trade, Minister of Energy, other Malawi relevant officials, Elephants Alliance Chairman Jin Chenglong, CEO Chen Jingru, Investment Division General Manager Huang Chao-Huan, and Marketing Assistant Xu Qiang. A conclusion was reached that the two sides will sign a Framework Cooperation Agreement within this week and any specific items not covered in this agreement will be covered by separate specific agreements. 分享 Serbia and Elephant Alliance began drafting cooperation agreement: loveislovedxlm 2013-8-14 13:48; June 21, 2013 afternoon, Elephant Alliance Chairman Jin Chenglong and company went again to the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia to visit the Serbian Embassy Minister Counsellor Mr. Zoran Djordjevic and to discuss further cooperation between both sides. The two sides had reached a preliminary cooperation intention in the meeting and began drafting the specifics of a strategic cooperation framework agreement. Mr. Djordjevic said he had reported Elephant Alliance’s intention for cooperation to his country and the feedback from the Republic of Serbia was very positive. The government has the intention to cooperate with Elephant Alliance and hopes Elephant Alliance can draft a cooperation agreement similar to the one that the government of Malawi had signed because this is a good thing that both sides can win. Once the contents of the agreement are determined the next step is to arrange the signing of the agreement by the appropriate government department representatives. The two sides involved had determined the specific contents of cooperation that have very good cooperation points including Serbia's exporting steel plant, truck plant, Siemens Industrial Park, the industrial park to be developed and constructed by Elephants Alliance for Serbia, import and export trades, some Serbian mineral resources developments, etc.. Both agreed that Elephants Alliance will draft the strategic cooperation framework agreement between Serbia and Elephant Alliance. This draft will be sent by the embassy to the Serbian government. The two sides agreed to arrange a time for the signing ceremony when all the details of the agreement were agreed. 分享 Ghana and Elephant Alliance Drafted Cooperation Agreement: loveislovedxlm 2013-8-14 13:45; 3rd July 2013 Morning, Finance Minister of the Republic of Ghana H.E.SETH E.TERKPER met with Elephant Alliance Chairman Jin Chenglong and entourages at Beijing Kunlun Hotel to discuss the overall cooperation between both sides in the fields of industry, mineral resource development, infrastructure construction, international trade, professional training, etc. H. E. Helen Mamle Kofi, Ambassador of Ghana Embassy in China, CEO Chen Jingru and General Manager Huang, Chao-Huan from Elephant Alliance also attended the meeting. The two parties achieved several consensuses and a draft strategic cooperation agreement between both parties on the same day. Minister TERKPER expressed gratitude to Elephant Alliance for providing detailed cooperation plan with his country, and he appreciated the Elephant Alliance’s operation model and development direction. Minister TERKPER also presented the details about Ghana’s investment environment and the special policy applicable to Elephant Alliance. 分享 Malawi President Banda received Elephant Alliance Chairman: loveislovedxlm 2013-8-14 13:40; June 4, 2013 Morning, President Banda of the Republic of Malawi received Elephant Alliance Chairman Jin Chenglong and entourage at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. The Assistant to the President, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Industry/Trade, Minister of Energy and other Malawi officials were also presented. A meeting scheduled for 15 minutes was extended to nearly two hours. After meeting with the president for one-hour, the president made a special arrangement for another hour for Chairman Jin to meet with the Ministers to discuss the detail steps of the signing of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between Malawi and Elephant Alliance. President Banda first stated her welcome toward Chairman Jin and his entourage and Chairman Jin expressed his gratefulness to Her Excellency’s reception. Chairman Jin then made an introduction of the members of Elephant Alliance, its business scopes and the cooperation and development plans with Malawi in six areas including two industrial parks - food product and building materials, the establishment of a financial institution, multilateral trades, basic health care, basic education and infrastructure projects. President Banda said that it was the best meeting she ever had since she left her country. It seemed like Mr. Jin was taking words right from her mouth. At present, the most urgent task of Malawi is to eradicate poverty, create wealth, develop industry and commerce, and create job opportunities. The biggest advantages of Malawian are sincerity and diligence. Malawi is self-sufficient in turn of food right now. But she hopes to triple the production of corns to meet the demands of surrounding countries and to earn more foreign exchange through exports. Malawi also needs food processing and value adding enterprises including food product and building material industrial park. Malawi President Banda also said that she will start to serve as the president of Southern African Development Community-SADC in August. Elephant Alliance will market the products manufactured at the food product and building material industrial parks constructed by Elephant Alliance to the thirteen member African countries in SADC duty free. President Mrs. Banda said, what she interests the most is the Elephant Alliance’s plans of basic education, vocational training, and medical service. These plans not only serve the needs of EA industrial parks but also help to raise the level of educational and medical services in Malawi. The president said the two biggest achievements in her whole life are first, created ways to lend money to the poor people, and second developed education services in Malawi. She then said that the death rate of pregnant women in Malawi is high and it was mainly because of the lack of education. She hoped the cooperation with Elephant Alliance could be progressed as soon as possible. Meanwhile, she requested every minister presented do their best assisting Elephant Alliance to carry out the cooperation plans. Chairman Mr. Jin Chenglong said that, he quite appreciated the frank introduction by the distinguished president, and strongly believed the people of Malawi will firmly support the national development plans of the president. What moved him the most was that her Excellency the president takes care of her country and people like their mother. He believed that both sides will have successful cooperation in the near future. Both parties reached cooperation intention on several issues before the end of the meeting.
