The decision to provide this assistance was exceptionally difficult, but it’s clear today that it was essential to stopping a financial panic.

Feel not so easy today. The Finance and Public Finance problem of America and China is totally different.
America own the best mechanism of  these two while the Credit  Economy of China still developing and the financial expenditure could not bring more utilities nowadays. China would suffer at least ten years for this kind of  planned economy.

U.S. government  baiedl out banks, insurers and large companies through buying their shares in financial crisis. Current is the time to raise the money through selling shares.

Well, If they are smart enough, “Going out and standing on their own again is definitely what they want to do, and they’re beginning that process.”  As they should know that they can not rely on US government for long. That is also the reason, they started selling their holdings and seeking for private capital which I think is more reliable.

就relax and enjoy。

AIG, once the world’s largest insurer, is seeking private capital after a government rescue···Business is always up and down and  is always impermanent. Idoubt that Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. had gone  bankrupt but  why Goldman and Morgan Stanley always being a winner?

11,11, Underwriters earned $43.5 million, or 0.5 percent, in fees, according to Bloomberg data. The average is 3 percent in U.S. additional share offerings this year excluding the AIG share sale, the data show.

A rebounding economy is allowing the Treasury to unwind bailouts from 2008 and 2009 that were designed to prevent a collapse of the banking system and protect jobs. The government cut its stake in Detroit-based GM to 33 percent and raised $13.6 billion in a November share sale
