Investors have few alternatives in such a recession and regard Swiss Franc as a hard currency, which may lead to the appreciation of the franc. Swiss National Bank tries to print more money to buy foreign reserves to depreciate the currency. And most countries, except China, are longing for the depreciation of the currency. It is said that maybe investors will choose Renminbi as the next target.

I don't quite understand why most countries want to depreciate their money and why SNB's buying German paper in large amounts may result in the subsequent risk aversion and force the euro lower.
