Every country wants to be strong, both to contribute to the well-being of its civilians and to compete with other countries.
If one country dominates economy in the world eternally, it will hold the authority to command other countries, and the countries' relationship will not be fair. Maybe other countries will be forced to pay intribute to the stronger. No one wants to be put in such a subordinate position. Besides, such a case will result in elites flow from poor countries to advanced countries and the discrepancies between the developing and the developed countries will be enlarged gradually. To get mutual benefit and common prosperity is our goal and is cost efficient to us all.
Therefore, the developing road is full of continuous games of catching up. No one can be left behind.
