• New definition of "health econometrics" published
  

                        Andrew   Jones has prepared a definition of health econometrics for the New   Palgrave Dictionary of Economics, online edition, edited by Steven N.   Durlauf and Lawrence E. Blume. The term health econometrics has been   adopted to describe the development and application of econometric   methods within health economics. The article outlines the distinctive   issues that arise in applying econometrics to health data and how these   applications have helped to shape the broader literature.
