The position
As an Intern (32-40 hours) you will be supporting the work of the Ecofys Chinaoffice team for at least two months. The organization offers an open andfriendly culture with a positive working atmosphere, and consists of a highlyeducated population striving for sustainability in an international setting. Yourwork will focus mostly on quantitative projects related to the development ofEmission Trading Systems (ETS) and carbon management in China. The positionoffers a structured programme, which will include provable targets to becompleted before the completion of your internship. The Beijing Office teamwill support you on this task.
As a person you must be able to think and actpractically and logically. Due to the international environment it is a jobwith many dynamics. Your main tasks will be:

·      Coordinating with theBeijing Office team on ETS related tasks.

·      Reporting to the MarketMechanisms Unit Manager in our London Office.

·      Complete an ETS assignmentas specified by the Unit Manager. You will work hand-in-hand with an ETSconsultant on this.

·      Becoming familiar with theETS and low carbon policy landscape in China and reporting to the team on anydevelopments in this area.

Your profile
If you are enthusiastic about the job described above and you meet thefollowing criteria, then we would be happy to meet you!

·      At least a Bachelor degreelevel;

·      Strong quantitative skills,with a background in economics, engineering, mathematics;

·      Well organized, disciplinedand with good planning skills;

·      Results orientated;

·      Good verbal and writtencommand of Chinese and English;

·      Good knowledge of Word,Excel, STATA and/or EVIEWS;

·      As a person you areproactive, responsible and take initiative.
