Problem(Abstract)This technote explains how to resolve an error that could occur during the installation of the Crystal Reports Server for IBM® Rational® ClearQuest®, if the Microsoft® .Net Framework is not installed.

SymptomThe text of the error message, where {XXX} is a component ID, is as follows:


Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {XXX}. HRESULT: 0x8002802F
Resolving the problemIn order to resolve this issue, version 1.0 or 1.1 of the .NET Framework from Microsoft must be installed prior to installing the Crystal Reports Server. This prerequisite is noted in the Installation and Upgrade Guides for ClearQuest 7.0 and 7.0.1 as well as in the ClearQuest 7.0.1 Information Center.
