主要指标：
VDEM是Varieties of Democracy的缩写，翻译过来是“民主形态的多样性”。VDEM是一个国际组织，致力于推动全球民主和政治自由。该组织利用科学方法，对全球200多个国家的政治制度进行评估和比较，旨在为民主进程提出经验和启示，为政策制定者提供科学参考。
VDEM的工作内容主要包括政治体制评估、民主进程研究、国际合作交流等。其政治体制评估涵盖了国家的选举制度、议会制度、基本权利和自由等方面，通过定量和定性的方法，评估国家政治体制的发展状况和民主化程度。此外，VDEM还致力于研究全球民主进程的各种问题，例如选举公正、反腐败、媒体自由、公民社会等方面，为推进民主进程提供科学建议。
VDEM对全球民主进程的贡献主要表现在三个方面。一是通过数据公开化，为学术界和各国政策制定提供了科学的、可信的数据支持。二是通过全球民主进程研究，为各国政策制定提供了参考和建议，促进全球民主进程的发展。三是通过国际交流与合作，让不同国家之间的经验和思想交流得以实现，加强各国政策之间的沟通与合作。
