ReviewsSynopsis The second edition of this guide provides instructions and clear examples for running analyses of variance and several other related statistical tests of significance with SPSS. The book emphasizes the use of syntax that includes the commands and subcommands that tell SPSS what to do, although pull-down menus that show where to point-and-click are also included. Emphasizing syntax helps assure that users can validate the analysis being performed. Features of this addition include: an update of the old syntax; reorganized to provide all analysis related to one design type in the same chapter; expanded coverage of analysis of covariance and mixed designs; new chapter on designs; and a free CD-ROM with all the data sets used in the book, as well as data sets to be used with the exercises. The book should be useful to readers who are familiar with the basic concepts of the ANOVA technique, including both practising researchers and data analysts, as well as advanced students learning analysis of variance.
