前两天不是还好几个Canadians 抱怨中国工作不好找 很想回上海吃火锅么？ 哈哈 开玩笑
各人有各人立场 没必要ARGUE的 有10000个理由在美国 也同样有10000个理由在中国
在美国拿7万刀年薪 做个技术工 过个4，5年，在中国有很多靠人脉 靠关系 做高管，做私募的不到30岁 都身家上亿了，到时候谁是Loser还真没个定论。

如果真看life sector, 中国的mkt cap没少于美国吧。
这世界根本没有loser,只有一些用loser的心态去做评断的人.
不在美国工作/生活 就loser了？如果按此逻辑
GPA没4.0 的人就loser? 没读到PhD的人都loser? 没去上HYP的人也loser? 没进到高盛的全loser?

那些既然选择在美国工作的人，就努力做，好好生活，别想一些有的没的，患得患失，不值得。

Overal, you made a great point.
However, there are a few things that need more clarifications.

It seems not fair to compare those doing PE in China with those working as actuaries in the US. It seems not fair to compare the top 0.1% of those working in PE in China with the actuaries below average in the US.
It appears to me that you reached such a conclusion because you are not makeing fair comparisons.

I do want to thank you for saying what is in your mind.
As I said, it is the discussions that invigorate the forum.

Just follow your heart. Don't try to calculate the opportunity cost at every point in life.

If you choose to stay in US for whatever reason, convince yourself it's the best decision.
Nothing to do with China.

U r absolutely right. I'm not telling a perfect example considering the equally treated job offer. I just wanna point out there exist a lot of ppl who declined an "average" job offer ( not  necessarily actuarial) overseas and decided to work in China, later became extremely successful. And I also know a lot of ABCs working in China are not good.

你说得对。我举的例子并不是比较两个绝对平行的工作机会。我只是讲 有很多海龟放弃了一些 在海外的白领的普通工作，在中国很适应社交人脉，赚到上亿。也有很多ABC在中国工作，思维做事方式太直接，事业只能算勉强有个工作。In reality, we all got our comparative advantages, so our choices are different.

You are right about actuarial environment in China in ur orignial post. It's not as mature as American system. 我也只是举个例子，比如回中国可以做私募的，也许不会留下美国做精算。

No matter how much money you can earn in China, it is 浮云.

No personal life in China ......
