Level II made it clear that you need to focus on the Topical Sections - there weren't going to be any 'gimme' points available. However, even though I was prepared for that, I didn't think they would test the discipline/ sanction section and I was suprised by the level of detail they required on Soft Dollars - requiring you to remember the required AND recommended items. I'm also confused about their intent in testing down to this level of detail. In real-world situations, you'd need to refer to the handbook for this sort of minutiae, anyway. I also had just read the ethics book for the second time in its entirety, something I should have done again but did not do for L3. I've been through that material so many times, I thought I could surely recall any details they threw at me in MC format. Never been so wrong... Reply To This Message Re: Harder? - '04 L2 vs. '05 L3 Author: velvet67 Date: Sunday, June 5 @ 10:15 pm i shared the same thought with you.. i could still remember what I memorized last year for 04 on Ethics and decided not to go through again b/c even if i do for two whole days it'd be at the same level, (e.g., definitely not the RECOMMENDED items....) but i don't regret though, to get right to the point on the topics on an ex ante basis means you have to remember EVERY TOPIC to that detail..... for this year's exam i simply don't have that much time.
