Since most costs are fixed in the short term rather than variable, and so marginal costing is not a particularly appropriate costing convention to use, and that is why the development of ABC is getting popular to many companies nowaday. The guide for ABC implementation from IMA (35 pages only, not very heavy) is attached here for guys reference.
