credit constraint is a condition where in capital market the availability of credit, or the amount of borrowing one could obtain has been confined to certain arbitrary limits. Under such condition, the cost of borrowing usually goes up as limits imposed by lender aims to reduce risk, any additional credit must be paid at higher premium.
