Position Description
AIG’s Consumer Shanghai Analytical center is building a team of talented, creative, and motivated Pricing Actuaries. This team partners with business decision makers globally to develop data-driven solutions to maintain and help improve underwriting results and now we are looking for an intern to support the team. The minimum duration of the internship program is three months (4 or more days per week). We expect to start the internship program by the beginning of this December. This internship program is open to students only.
Role Accountabilities
· Provide quantitative measurement and data analysis expertise for various accident and health projects.
· Support pricing and filing of Accident and Health products.
· Responsible for creating the global accident and health incidence database.
· Developing and testing pricing templates for personal accident products.
Position Requirements
· BS in statistics, public health, economics, actuarial science, biostatistics, or related areas
· Candidates from medical/public health school or with strong statistics background preferred.
· Undergrad GPA higher than 85/100.
· Candidates with research paper published or strong thesis preferred.
· Proficiency in SAS, Excel VBA, Word and Access. Experience with other programming language preferred.
· Experience with analysis of large databases and computer intensive statistical analysis (preferably using SAS), multivariate statistical methods.
· Capable of communicating in English (presentation, writing and interpersonal communication)
