编者说明

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 一、作为1972、1978、1982、1987、1997年《世界经济统计简编》的续编，《世界经济统计简编2000》是一部概要反映世界经济与社会发展情况的工具书。根据近年来世界经济形势发展的变化，在继承原有框架的基础上，本书加大了世界经济热点问题的信息量，重点充实并加强了财政收支与国际金融方面的内容，系统地收集了世界主要国家与地区经济和社会发展最新的统计信息，以及最近数年的时序数据。

二、本书内容广泛，覆盖了经济与社会生活的主要方面。全书共分为10个专题，分别是：1.综合；2.农业；3.工业；4.交通运输；5.财政收支；6.金融；7.国际收支；8.外贸、外资与外债；9.教、科、文、卫；10.劳动就业与人民生活。另附有中国台湾省的经济与社会发展统计资料。全书共编撰280张表，380页，约合30万字。

三、本书数据来源可靠，具有较高的权威性。数据主要取自联合国、世界银行、国际货币基金组织、经济合作与发展组织、国际金融公司等国际组织及美、日、德、法、英等国家（地区）的有关统计出版物。

四、尽管联合国推荐的《国民经济核算体系1993》是全世界通行的统计核算制度，但由于经济发展阶段和社会制度的差异，各国（地区）的同一统计指标口径并不一定完全一致。有些表格所用资料的来源与出版时间不尽相同，数据仍有前后不一致的情况。此外，某国（地区）某些统计指标在时序上也出现间断情况。对以上情形，本书一般都附有说明。

五、本书所称“国家”、“地区”均为纯地理实体概念，并不都与国际法所指或事实上的政治实体概念完全一致。

六、书中所涉及的中国数据，均未包括香港特别行政区、澳门特别行政区和台湾省。为便于比较对照，中国数据多采用国际组织公布的资料。

七、资料中所使用的度量衡单位均采用国际统一标准计量单位。

八、书中部分数据合计数或相对数由于单位取舍不同而产生的计算误差均未作机械调整。

九、书中的符号使用说明：“0”表示数据不足本表最小单位数；“…”表示数据不详或暂缺；“-”表示该项数据不存在；“#”表示其中的主要项；“*”或“①”表示本表下有注解。

十、书中部分资料可在即将建成的《世界经济数据库》中查询。作为《世界经济统计简编》的姊妹项目之一，《世界经济数据库》由中国社会科学院世界经济与政治研究所统计研究室建立并负责维护。该数据库采用因特网技术，数据更新及时，界面友好，除为本院有关科研提供强力数据支持外，也向院外广大科研工作者和有关部门开放并提供便捷的信息咨询服务。 十一、本书由中国社会科学院世界经济与政治研究所统计研究室研究员陈秀英主编并终审。参加编写的人员有：何新华、闫成海、吴海英、陈秀英、石小玉、刘仕国、陈龙渊。在编辑与出版过程中，本书得到中国社科院世界经济与政治研究所资料室娄慧荣同志、院外文期刊阅览室及有关书库、中国国家图书馆和社科文献出版社的大力协助与支持，在此一并向以上个人和单位诚挚致谢。受时间与水平所限，本书定有缺憾之处，恳请各界同仁及广大读者批评指正，以使新续编的质量能够更上层楼。
