You are right ! When a guy is under extreme fear, he can't be rational. Suicide must be against his will.
Economists argue under ideal conditions, but real-world things are not always so ideal, so their argument is usually useless in real life.

有些人自杀之前可以把遗书写的思路清晰条理分明，有些人自杀是冒险以获得更多的掌控权（经济学家所说的strategic suicide，通常所说的一哭二闹三上吊），当然疯疯癫癫头脑发热的去自杀的也有不少，但是不能一概而论。
